Better Life Properties is a family-owned real estate solutions company, comprised of three divisions. Our lost mitigation division works to keep people in their homes, a service we do for free. Our retail sales division buys, renovates and sells quality properties at all price points. And our third division is a turnkey rental program, where a passive investor can own cash-flowing real estate by doing nothing more than cashing their checks each month.

Gary Wiggin, Founder and President

Following a successful career that included both civil engineering and the management of large land assets, Gary Wiggin founded Better Life Properties in 2011. Using his broad experience, he set a strategy to take advantage of the current market conditions and assembled a team of key partners to launch a real estate company that changes people's lives for the better, one transaction at a time.

A registered professional engineer in Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, Gary Wiggin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire. He began his career in 1995 in southern New Hampshire with Bedford Design Consultants, designing and permitting residential and commercial projects in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

He then moved on to Thomas & Hutton Engineering in Savannah, Georgia in 1998. Starting as a design engineer, he quickly became a project manager, then a client manager and partner. His clients included Craftbuilt Homes, Toll Brothers, The Landings Golf Club, The Fripp Company, and Reed Development. Wiggin was the lead engineer on many projects in excess of $100 million, including the private luxury communities of Berkeley Hall, Hampton Hall, and Hampton Lake. He also has extensive experience in due diligence analysis of projects and property, land acquisition, entitling property, sub dividing, parcel sales, envisioning and planning properties totaling over 40,000 acres.

In 2006, Wiggin joined Reed Development to run the land division whose holdings included properties worth over $400 million. He was instrumental in land sales in excess of $125 million, even as the market was falling. He is currently a council member of the Urban Land Institute.

Gary is passionate about real estate investing and working with people to change their lives through investing in real estate, and spending time with his family. His other hobbies include almost anything to do with cars. He raced in the Rally America series in 2009 and 2010 where, in his rookie season, he was the amature national champion for his class. In 2010 he raced as a professional, where he placed 4th in the country in his class.
